2013 CrossFit Open: Need to Know Information

CFAers and Supporters

Saturdays are the CF Open Event Days at CFA Stuttgart! This means that from March 9th – April 6th, we will be hosting the CF Open WODs at our box.

SATURDAY REGULAR WOD

If you plan to WOD at the regular Saturday class, please remember that it is starting at 9 am. It would be great if you could stay and support the team by helping to set up equipment or move things out of the way for the Open.

PARTICIPATING IN THE OPEN

If you have signed up, it means that you are competing in the Open to both have a great time and see where you stand against other CFers worldwide. We want you to have the best possible experience.

Athletes & Judges need to be at the box each Saturday by 9:30 am for the briefing. We would like to begin the WODs at 10:30 am.

If you are unable to be at the Saturday WOD, it is your responsibility to talk to Tammy or Nick in ADVANCE to see when we can arrange to have your WOD completed. All Athletes require a judge. One athlete…one judge.  Please keep this in mind. It is not CrossFit Assault Stuttgart’s responsibility to make sure you are judged for the WOD outside the times we provide. You need to contact us: email, Facebook etc.

We will be judging on Thursday afternoon from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm and Friday from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm. If you need to be judged, it is first come, first served!

ATHLETES & JUDGES

Please be on time to the briefings and start time of the Open. If you need to be late etc., you need to talk to Tammy or Nick. The coaching team has been in planning for weeks about this event. Teamwork is essential to the successful completion of the events and individuals.

VOLUNTEERS

We could use support in so many different ways! Please approach Mai, Grace or Tina to see how you can support us with the potluck, set up and clean up crews.

Hi everyone! As you all know from all of our excited posts it’s “Open” time again!

The CFA staff are excited to be hosting the fun event for the next month.

Jade has graciously offered to watch over the children and help their parents have the freedom to participate as competitors, judges, and fans! In exchange, we ask that you sign-up for a slot, brief your children of the rules before hand, and give Jade at least 10 Euro per family as compensation for her time.

Register by filling out the form below. Please indicate number of children and any special concerns.

Thanks!

CFA Box General Rules and Guidelines for Children under the age of 15

CFA, staff, members, and coaches are not responsible for your children in the box.

If you bring your child(ren) to the box with you:

  1. Children must play quietly and safely on the green mats in the stretching / personal belonging  area of the box during WOD times.
  2. Children must be supervised at all times when out of the stretching / personal belonging area and especially when touching or using box equipment.
  3. There will be no food or drinks consumed in, on, or around the green mats and gymnastics area. Disregard for this rule will be interpreted as a member volunteering to thoroughly clean the area after their workout is complete.
  4. The noise level must be kept to a minimum.
  5. If children are unsupervised in the box, participating in any type of dangerous activity, or endangering themselves or the athletes the child and his or her parents may be asked to leave.
  6. If you are NOT the child’s parent or guardian DO NOT feed them. We have children with allergies and those who adhere to a gluten-free or paleo diet. Giving them food to which they are allergic or even not used to can, at the least, make them sick and, at the worst case hospitalization.
  7. Children under the age of 10 require supervision when using the toilets. One of our toilets was stuffed with toilet paper and we must ask parents / guardians to be responsible for young children in the washrooms.
